At the Technical Research Center, our aim is to contribute to environmentally friendly community building, through technical development related to water and waste treatment. On-site facilities have been established to manage wastewater created at the center. Additionally, we also engage in waste reduction and recycling.

In fiscal 2017, we will continue to contribute to environmental conservation, pursuing increased energy conservation and further reductions in organic solvents.

At the Okubo factory, we pursue fuel-efficient, low-noise and lightweight crane development. We engage in environmental conservation including outdoor cleanup drives and efforts to reduce waste. In fiscal 2016 we inspected nine disposal companies responsible for appropriate disposal of industrial waste. Through efforts beginning in fiscal 2017 to rationalize paint booths, we aim not only to ensure legal and regulatory compliance and minimize environmental risks, but also to conserve energy and resources by improving painting efficiency.
