ECCJ Grand Prize Award Ceremony

ECCJ Grand Prize Award Ceremony

デュエルビッツカジノ ログインel won an Energy Conservation Center of Japan (ECCJ) Chairman's Prize in the Successful Case of Energy Conservation Category within the 2015 Energy Conservation Grand Prize sponsored by the ECCJ. This prize commends outstanding results for initiatives related to energy savings.

Chofu Works made efforts to visualize the amount of energy used by production equipment with the aim of encouraging the operators who actually run the equipment to make proactive efforts to save energy. This initiative represented a shift from hard infrastructure improvements made mainly by staff members through equipment remodeling and updating to soft infrastructure improvements such as operation methods and manufacturing conditions with the involvement of on-site operators. In addition, awards were given out within Chofu Works for energy saving proposals and posters with energy saving slogans were hung up. These efforts resulted in the energy consumption rate for January to March 2015 going down by 9 percent compared to fiscal 2013. It was recognition of these kinds of steady efforts that led to the award.

A flared seawall is a revetment for coastal protection that reduce overtopping waves along the coast, minimizing damage from storm surges caused by typhoons, for instance.

Our flared seawall won the award in recognition of such points as its suitability as a measure against overtopping waves. The flared seawall is both environmentally friendly and protective of the scenery, as the embankment can be lower than a conventional seawall as a result of a special curved-shaped front that deflects waves back toward the sea.

デュエルビッツカジノ ログインel won the Highest Award in the 16th Japan Stainless Steel Association Prize sponsored by the Japan Stainless Steel Association. This award commends excellent stainless steel products in different demand fields, in an effort to spread the use of stainless steel and promote demand development, with the aim of helping to improve culture and harmony with society and the environment.

Our Diffusion-bonded Compact Heat Exchanger (DCHE) for hydrogen stations have micro flow channels machined into stainless steel plates that are stacked and diffusion bonded*, enabling resistance to high pressure in a compact size with a heat transfer area that is larger than double-pipe heat exchangers, which are the common design. デュエルビッツカジノ ログインel won the award in recognition of this technology.

* Diffusion bonding: A welding technique in which materials are joined at the atomic level by applying pressure while heating at a high temperature. Different from common welding techniques, the materials are bonded without melting the base metal, which makes it suitable for joining micro flow channels and complex three dimensional structures.
